Virginia Lay, owner and president of Lifestyles Design Group, LLC, is no stranger to the mountains of Western North Carolina, having made Asheville her home for most of her life. She has over 20 years of experience and proven expertise in all aspects of interior design and project management for both new construction and remodeling.

Virginia is a world traveler and will continue to experience and explore design on a global level. She is conversant in various styles, including contemporary, transitional, traditional, green design, Asian, and Country French, among others. Her extensive knowledge allows clients to feel confident with the unparalleled environments she creates for their individual lifestyles. “Listening to my clients’ wishes down to the smallest details allows me to create the distinctive designs necessary for each homeowner to have the personalized home of their dreams.”

Virginia is a senior licensed interior designer in Florida, a founder and past president of the Southwest Florida Chapter of the Interior Design Society. As a designer for Robb & Stucky Interiors of Naples, Florida, a high-end provider of luxury furniture and accessories, she received the President’s Club Award for exceptional sales and design for six straight years, as well as several “Best Interior Design Awards” from the Collier County Building Industry Association. She has been published in many design books and magazines and held seminars in specialty design areas.

Virginia has been active in the following memberships: the American Business Women’s Association, Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, Madison County Chamber of Commerce, Asheville Area Arts Council, Asheville Home Builders’ Association, North Carolina Home Builders’ Association, the National Home Builders’ Association, WNC Green Building Council, the Asheville Business Achievers Association, The American Society of Interior Design, Interior Design Society, and Executive Association of Greater Asheville.
